A cosy, 3 bedroom traditional stone cottage in Cregganbaun, a beautiful part of rural Mayo in the west of Ireland. Located between the villages of Louisburgh (Co. Mayo) and Leenane (Co. Galway).
Heading south, it's
'a stones throw' from the renowned scenic route through Doolough and Delphi into Connemara. Head north through Louisburgh, past Croagh Patrick into Westport, onto Achill Island and North Mayo.
Two miles to the nearest beach, and many more sand/surf/rock pools/sailing beaches all within 20 minutes drive.

 Follow the road to bring you to Leenane, gateway to Connemara (20 km from Mary Ann's Cottage). On the road you will pass Delphi Lodge, an 1830s Country House and Fishing Lodge, on to the award winning Delphi Spa and Adventure Centre, along Killary Harbour, Irelands only natural fjord.
Silver Strand - one of many great beaches.
10 km rural drive at the end of a no-through road. Usually deserted. Sand, swimming and cliff top walk.
Carrowniskey Beach - great for surfing and bracing walks.
5 km from Mary Ann's Cottage, just outside the village of Louisburgh. This beach is home of the traditional Carrowniskey Beach Races, an annual event.
